Here's an online banking scam revealed. It does have a Nigerian scam element a little later on in the analysis.

Here's a long but very amusing series of letters from a Dutch man to a Nigerian scammer. The whole story is also available as a book!

Klaas recieved a real tutching letter from Ado Musa Adama, a poor young African orphan Nigerian Prince.
Klaas had tears in his eyes and almost started crying and decide to ofer the helping hand, so this young 17 year old boy
can have his late fathers wealth back and have the best education for him and his younger sister Aisha.

I presume this arrest will not be of a surprise to you ...: You'd really expect better from a former Dana-Farber Cancer Institute researcher and Harvard University professor. Weldong Xu, an academic who had done stints at both hallowed institutions, was arrested yesterday and charged with bilking friends and colleagues out of some $600,000 and then investing it in a questionable Nigerian business venture from which he expected a $50 million return. Xu allegedly persuaded a total of 35 people since last July to give him money, telling them it was for researching severe acute respiratory syndrome, before handing it over to the 419ers. "I tried to tell him he had been scammed," said Detective Steve Blair. "His plan all along was this Nigerian investment."

Here's a new twist: Thanks to information gathered from donated / recycled laptops, the scammers are now able to directly access online bank accounts, gather enough personal information for identity fraud, or simply write tailored Nigerian scam emails that directly target the previous owner of the computer.
